Product description
Navalis Supplementary Feed Lactal Horse
- natural support for the gut and liver
- a healthy gut and a healthy liver are essential prerequisites for the health and performance of our horses
- navalis lactal horse powder contains lactulose (1-4-galactosidofructose)
- this disaccharide is metabolised by bacteria in the horse's large intestine into short-chain fatty acids such as lactic, acetic and formic acid
- these organic acids increase the osmotic pressure in the large intestine
- this leads to an increased water content in the faeces
- in addition, feeding lactulose acidifies the intestinal contents, which binds ammonium and reduces the ammonium concentration in the blood, a process that supports the liver
- to support the intestines and liver
- to increase the faecal water content of hard faeces
