Due to changes in husbandry and feeding conditions, herbal mixtures for horses with respiratory problems have probably belonged to our horses since domestication. Hundreds of them are now available in a wide variety of designs, administration forms and price ranges. But what about the horses suffering from COB, horses with relapses, for which the classic route has already been mapped out, through persistently incorrect posture, feeding, etc.? Is it possible to influence the bronchial muscles in particular, their contractions or cramps on a plant basis or related to feeding? These questions were the focus of the development of respirOforte. To be able to break the vicious circle of mucus formation, diminishing ciliated epithelium and a continuous narrowing of the bronchi at any point without putting additional strain on the organism would be a success. The MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) contained in respirOforte makes the cell membranes more permeable, so that important active ingredients and nutrients can be better absorbed. In addition, this organically bound sulfur compound is known for its positive influence on the muscular cell tissue. The lung herb it contains can expand the bronchi in the long term. Watercress has a high methylcysteine content and ensures better secretolysis. Specially coordinated herbs in turn promote the coughing up of the stuck mucus. In order to ensure the full development of the product, it is recommended that respirOforte be permanently fed, especially in the case of chronic or recurrent respiratory problems. Because of its abortive effect, respirOforte must not be used in pregnant mares.
