BremsenBremse Fly Spray Horseguard

• reliable protection against tropical and domestic insects such as horseflies and mosquitoes (also against the Culex mosquitoes common in Germany, which can transmit the West Nile virus) as well as against ticks
• the active ingredient Icaridin is recommended by the WHO for mosquito repellent also in tropical areas and is effective on humans in the concentration and dosage used here for up to 8 hours
• the active ingredient complex of Icaridin and EC oil h/c from the leaves of Eucalyptus Citriodora is effective according to equine studies according to TNsG guidelines for mosquitoes and ticks (PT19 Technical Notes of Guidance for Efficacy) Culex pipiens up to 4 hours
• according to horse studies it has sufficient efficacy against African ticks (Hyalomma marginatum) that have migrated to Germany
• the formulation is strong against biting insects, but at the same time material friendly and colorless
• allergologically and dermatologically tested by the CTI Institute, also suitable for horses with eczema
• smells pleasantly like lemongrass and is also suitable for competitions due to the doping-free formulation

Ingredients

• active ingredients 200 g/kg (Saltidin) sec-butyl 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate and/ or 10 g/kg Eucalyptus Citriodora-Oil hydrated/cyclized

Application

• shake before use. Apply evenly to the area of the coat or skin to be protected. apply manually with a sponge in eye and nostril area application quantity (3 sprays per DIN A3 sheet); for ponies 20-50 ml, for horses 60-120 ml
• for improved tick protection, additionally spray a 5 cm wide ring strip at the level of each knee joint
• also apply a barrier strip in the form of a ring between the mouth and eyes
• for riders e.g. 2-3 sprays per forearm
• in case of heavy sweating, treat unprotected coat/skin areas again after approx. 2 hours to ensure protection level
• keep horses in the shade in case of very high biting pressure and use head protection and fly protection rugs and spray uncovered coat areas thoroughly
• in order for BREMSENBREMSE® horseguard to reduce the risk of being bitten and infected, sufficient dosage, distribution and repetition are required
• since mosquitoes can also be active at dusk and at night and can also be found in stables, there is also a risk of being bitten and infected at night it is therefore highly recommended that, after consultation with the veterinarian, the current recommendations of the Standing Veterinary Vaccination Commission (StIKo Vet) are followed in order to adequately protect the health of the horse
