Trust Sweet Iron 2,5-Ring Bit Waterford

The Sweet Iron 2,5-Ring Bit by Trust is a mild variant of a Pessoa bit. Due to the different ways of application, a leverage effect can be created. The deeper the reins are attached, the sharper the effect of the bit. The bit rings are movable, so there is more movement in the bit, which is why the given aids of the rider's hand act indirectly. The mouthpiece of this 2,5-ring snaffle is a so-called Waterford. A Waterford consists of a series of rounded links and creates an even pressure. This mouthpiece can move in all directions, making it particularly difficult for the horse to lie down on the bit. With a soft rider hand, this mouthpiece is very friendly and soft, but with a strong rider hand, this bit becomes very sharp. The blue color on the bit is a Sweet Iron coating, which oxidizes on contact with moisture and forms surface rust. Rust tastes sweet to horses, so it stimulates saliva production in a very natural way.

Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
