Trust Sweet Iron 2,5-Ring Bit Dr. Bristol
This 2,5-ring bit Dr. Bristol by Trust has a special variant of the double-broken mouthpiece and is a milder version of the Pessoa bit. This bit can be used to create a leverage effect, whereby the further down the rein is attached, the sharper the bit becomes. Thanks to the different attachment possibilities, the rider can decide individually how strong the effect of the bit should be. The Dr. Bristol mouthpiece is double-broken and has an angled, flat-edged plate in the middle. The plate creates a sharp action on the tongue with a slight angle on the interdental space. The recognisable blue colour is the so-called Sweet Iron alloy, which oxidises on contact with moisture and forms surface rust. This rust tastes sweet to most horses, so the mouthpiece is very well accepted. In addition, saliva production is stimulated in a natural way and the chewing activity is increased. The Dr. Bristol 2,5-ring bit is ideal for horses that become very strong in the course and go against the hand.
Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece. This can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
