Trust Sweet Iron 2,5 Ring Bit French Link
The 2,5 ring bit French Link by Trust is handmade and a milder version of the Pessoa bit. The cheek piece is attached to the small ring and the rein can be attached to the large ring or the lower small ring. This allows the rider to decide individually how much leverage the bit should have, the further down the rein is attached, the stronger the leverage. The large ring can move freely and is not firmly attached to the mouthpiece, so that there is more movement in the bit and the rein aids have a more indirect effect. The French Link mouthpiece is double-broken and has an eight-shaped plate in the middle which exerts even pressure on the tongue. This mouthpiece has two hinge points and is shaped more towards the mouth. Due to the Sweet Iron alloy, the mouthpiece is very well accepted, as sweet-tasting surface rust is formed for horses on contact with moisture.
Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
