Trust Baby Swales, Medium Port, Sweet Iron

Product description

Trust Sweet Iron Baby Swales Medium Port

The Sweet Iron Baby Swales by Trust is like a double bridle, but much easier to use. There is only one mouthpiece, but you can still ride with two reins. The rein that is attached to the lower, small ring provides the action of the curb bit. The other rein is attached to the upper ring for a soft, trusting contact with the horse's mouth. The cheek piece is attached to an extra ring so that the effect of the rein is only on the lower jaw. The mouthpiece consists of a bar, which has an arch to create space for the tongue, and also reduces the pressure on the middle of the tongue. More tongue clearance is ideal for horses that have a particularly sensitive tongue and stick their tongue out. The mouthpiece is very well accepted because it has the Sweet iron alloy. This alloy forms sweet tasting surface rust for horses when it comes into contact with moisture. As this bit has a strong action, it should only be used by experienced, sensitive riders.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
