Trust Loose Ring Bit Sweet Iron Waterford
The Waterford loose ring bit by Trust is a combination of a standard side piece and the special Waterford mouthpiece. The side piece consists of loose rings, which allow the bit to move relatively freely in the horse's mouth, but this also means that the rider's aids arrive more indirectly. With this bit it is recommended to use bit rings made of rubber, so that no skin folds of the sensitive horse's mouth are pinched. The Waterford is a very special mouthpiece, as it consists of individual, rounded links. These individual links are free to move, thus the horse has no possibility to lie down on the bit. The special Sweet iron alloy stimulates the flow of saliva and promotes the chewing activity, so the horse can also better relax in the jaw and runs loose. With the Waterford you should be aware that with a light, delicate hand it is a very gentle mouthpiece, but with a strong, insensitive hand it becomes a very sharp bit.
Note: When not in use a thin orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
