Trust Sweet Iron Loose Ring Bit French Link
This bradoon is a high-quality model by Trust, which has loose rings as side pieces. As the rings can move freely, the reins reach the horse's mouth more indirectly. In addition, with a diameter of 5,5 cm, these rings are smaller than those of a standard loose ring bit. The mouthpiece is double-broken and has an eight-shaped plate in the middle, which exerts even pressure on the tongue. In addition, it is shaped more towards the mouth due to the two hinge points and lies more loosely in the mouth. The special Sweet Iron alloy oxidises on contact with moisture and forms a kind of surface rust. This rust tastes sweet to most horses, which makes the bit more acceptable. At the same time, saliva production and chewing activity are stimulated.
Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece. This can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
