Trust Sweet Iron Loose Ring Bit Dr. Bristol
This loose ring bit by Trust is made of high quality materials and has a special variation of the double-broken mouthpiece. The middle piece is a plate, which is flat-edged and angled, so that it has a sharp effect on the tongue. To increase the acceptance of the mouthpiece and to stimulate the flow of saliva, the mouthpiece has a Sweet Iron alloy. This special alloy develops surface rust on contact with moisture, which tastes sweet to most horses. The side piece consists of loose rings, which creates movement in the bit. The rings on this model are much smaller than on a normal water snaffle, so that the reins reach the horse's mouth more directly.
Note: When not in use, a thin, orange-brown layer of rust will develop on the mouthpiece. This can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect!
